These Last Moments...

(This Post was written on Wednesday....)

My last post I sounded very impatient with wanting this baby out. And while I am excited to have my new baby boy I am a little sad about losing my one on one time with Hunter. So today Hunter and I had fun. I wanted to relish in our last moments of just him and I together during the day. I didn't want to say no so I said yes. And it was perfect. Now I wouldn't do this every day but once in awhile he deserves it. Honestly, he is really well behaved for a 2 year old. The hubs would disagree, but during the day when it's just me and him it is pretty awesome. He is pretty much well behaved on play dates and shares so well with other kids. Of course I'm biased. When the hubs gets home from work Hunter gets a little wild. I think it's just because he hasn't seen his Dad all day.

Anyway, back to today. We woke up and lounged around and watched cartoons. Then he asked for macaroni (ok I did say No to that haha). BUT we had macaroni for lunch! After breakfast he wanted to go outside. First we went on a mile walk.. He loves his stroller lately. We had a good time and went a different way and found some random baby cows calves. Hunter loved it. Except he was super worried because they had flies all over their faces haha.

Then we played outside for like an hour and a half. I just relaxed and played and not worried about what I had to get done around the house. It was great.

We were hot so we came in had some popsicles and decided to bake. He loves to help me in the kitchen so I found a super easy lemon bar recipe on pinterest: Here.

We added sprinkles because...why not?!

After our baking sesh we enjoyed some healthy macaroni and bananas for lunch (not mixed together), and washed it down with some chocolate milk. It was amazing. ;) We cuddled and watched cartoons and then took a 2 and a half hour nap! WOW! it was pretty much the best!

We finished out the day by giving my car a bath (in Hunter's words) and let me tell you my car needed it bad! He was soaking wet by the time we were finished so we just dried off in the sun...

I'm not sad about my newest addition, but I'm going to miss these days with just Hunter and I. I know when we have baby # 2 and get in our routine I won't want to go back to just the two of us. I hope Hunter understands how much I love him even though I will spending alot of time with the baby in the begining. Eventually, he won't remember I just dont want him to feel like he's losing his Mom. Everybody feels this way right???

Soon we will be a fully functional family of 4. I can't wait to meet my new little man but I'm going to enjoy these last few days of a family of 3. <3

Five on Friday & Bare Belly

Linking up with the fabulous Darci today!!

1. Lactation Cookies

um what the....yes I made lactation cookies and they are amazing. Anyone can eat them. The hubs was scared he was going to start producing milk...I was like good maybe you can help out after the baby gets here! hahaha. Here's the recipe. They are basically chocolate chip cookies but you add whole oats, flax seed and brewers yeast (which is what really helps with milk supply). I wrapped packs of two cookies in plastic wrap then threw them in a freezer bag so I can just take a couple out at a time. They are so GOOD though!

2. New Hairs!

I got my hair did yesterday and it feels so good! My roots were outta control man. I went alot blonder...yee haw now I can have even more fun!

3. Bare belly and MAJOR farmers tan!

EEk Can't believe I'm posting this but I've been wearing a tankini when we go swimming and this is the result...super casper white belly! hahah! Butttt who doesn't love baby bellies right?? RIGHT?

4. Enjoying Food

In my last few weeks of pregnancy I have been enjoying my cravings. My biggest ones lately:
5. Morning Walks
Hunter has fallen back in love with the jogging stroller. We took it out last week and a freakin tire popped for the millionth time. I took the stroller into Les Schwab and had no flat tires put on so suck it stroller!! No more flats for us! We've been walking about a mile and a half every morning.

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! Enjoy it, party it up or sleep...because I know I won't be doing the latter two. ;)

Weekend fun and a luggable loo!

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was jam packed and pretty awesome I must say! The hubs took Friday off work and we hit the road to his parents house. They live about 2.5 hours away. Hunter was a doll face the whole trip. We got there that afternoon and hung out with his parents. Before dinner the hubs and I went to Cabelas to get some stuff we needed for boating the next day. Well guess what the hubs got me...

Haha yes it is what you think it is. With being how pregnant I am I pee every 30.2 minutes...it sucks. Where we were going boating there were no easy ways to pull onto shore and "pop a squat" (not sure if I could even do that right now!) So anyways Hunter and I used the lugable loo on the boat on Saturday bahahaha. I have the sweetest husband. Then my super sweet inlaws spoiled me for my birthday (its this week) and got me a Garmin forerunner GPS watch (can't wait to run again after baby) and a Cold stone Oreo cake...mmmmm!

Anyways on Saturday....Hunter did amazing on his first time ever on a boat. He loved it so much!

Saturday night the hubs and I had our first date in AGES. We went to our fave sushi place (none of what I ate was raw because of baby), and went and saw "Now You See Me" which both of us liked! I was great to get out just the two of us.

Sunday we left in the morning and got home around 12:30. A new church I've been checking out was having a river party so I decided to take Hunter and go. It was at a beautiful house right on the river. Hunter went on another (much faster) boat ride and loved it. He also had tons of fun playing with all the kids. The hubs was out bow fishing on the river and stopped by and took hunter and I out on his boat as well. It was a great day.

Right now it's Sunday night and I am so ridiculously tired. After my dr appointment this past Thursday I am supposed to be resting and not allowed to work out (more on that Wednesday). Tuesday I have to go back to the dr again to see if things are getting better, lets hope they are.

But whatever happens everything will be okay!

Hot Summer Reads!

My little man started swimming lessons yesterday and did SO RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME. I was one proud Mama.I thought for sure I was going to have to sit on the side of the pool and get in but I didn't. It was a far cry from last year when I had scratches all down my back from his nails digging into my skin. The only time he cried was when it was over!

Before his lesson he was so excited!

Okay Mommy bragging over! Today I'm linking up with the BEAUTIFUL blogger Erin and Mean Ang (whose blog is awesome and I just started following!) They are doing a HOTTTT summer reads link up. I love books and I love reading. I just wish I had more time to actually read. I do have a few hot, smutty and semi romantic reads on my kindle that I have read recently. I'm so excited to check out the other blogs who linked up and get some ideas for some spicy reads.

Both of these books are super easy smut filled reads (aka amazing) haha! They are not too deep though. Basically, a good girl whose had a rough life falls for a play boy rock star and things go from there. Some of it is a little messed up but it makes for an interesting read!!

The Help
This one isn't smut as I'm sure you all know. I loved the movie and finally read the book last summer and it was really good. Tons of parts that weren't in the movie.

A Stolen Life: A Memoir: Jaycee Dugard
I like books about survivors. This woman is amazing for what she has been through with her kidnapping. A sad and heart touching read.

I haven't read this yet but I'm planning on reading it this summer! Should be pretty interesting...

I'm pumped to check out everyone else's books and find some good ones!

"Time is Love..."

...I love that song. I'm not really into country a whole lot but I've been liking it more lately! I think that's going to be my motto for summer!

This post is mainly just about enjoying life, taking it easy and spending your moments with the ones that you love.

It seems like everyone is cut short for time. Even though I don't work outside the home anymore I'm STILL busy doing other things. I don't like scheduling in family time but that is what we've been doing lately. The hubs has a pretty demanding job so Hunter and I work around his schedule. We did have a fun weekend together...I couldn't have asked for more...

Friday evening I took Hunter to a new sprinkler/splash park in our area. At first he was SO hesitant I had to hold his hand through the sprinklers. Then he let it all out and had some fun!

These waterfalls are about a half hour from our house. Saturday we made our way over there. We love having lunch and just enjoying the scenery. Hunter kept saying "I see Neverland!" He's been pretty into Jake and the Neverland Pirates lately. He calls me Captain Hook all the time...haha.

Sunday was more relaxed. One of my best friends came to stay for the night and we hung out on Monday as well. It was great we got pedicures and just caught up on all of our old crazy times. I'm pretty sure Hunter has a major crush on her. ;)

As long as its for my family and friends I don't mind being pulled In a million different ways. If my life is balanced with God, family and friends nothing much can go wrong! I know I will slow down once I have the baby (for a little while) but life keeps moving and I will be moving with it (with my family in hand!) I just hope time doesn't go TOO fast because I am enjoying all of these right nows!

Five on Friday

Today I'm linking up with Darci from the Good Life. Check her out HERE

We made it to the weekend y'all! Nothing changes for me except the hubs is around more, but lets celebrate! Today's post is just five random things so here we go!

1. Water balloon fights

Last week I got Hunter this contraption that fills up water balloons (and also acts a spritzer if you are hot haha). Well we broke it out this week and he is obsessed with "water boons."

2. Feeling GOOD

I have been feeling so damn good lately it's great! Yeah I'm in my third trimester and its uncomfortable but it sure beats the all day upset stomach and no energy! I have been lifting weights and walking at the gym almost every day and it feels amazing.

Just a quick selfie in the locker room I look like a freak :)

3. Playing outside

The weather has been hot, but I much prefer that over the cold. I love being outside with my little man as long as I'm not sweating my balls off too overly hot!

4. Smoooooothies

My amazing Mom spoiled me this Mothers Day and got me a Vita Mix (it's only the most bad ass blender around). It pulverizes the shiz out of whatever you put in it. I make the most delicious smoothies in that sucker and Hunter eats spinach or carrots everyday and doesn't even know it. Score!

5. I Miss my Margaritas

Labor Day weekend mudslide and margarita party at my place. This mama will be pumping and dumping that night :)

Have a fantastic weekend!!

And Summer begins...

I love summer.

Especially since I'm done working.

Done being stressed out and not having time to do the things I love...like writing and working out! I'm so excited to have time to blog again you don't even know!!

I really could have had time to workout but this pregnancy has had me drop dead tired by the time I had gotten off work I just wanted to pick up my little guy and go home. Now I will be headed to the gym every day around 9 am. I'm just going to be doing lighter workouts since I'm 30 weeks and out of shape but it will do.

I CAN'T wait to run again. I'm contemplating signing up for a half in November. That would only give me about 2 months post baby to train (after a 4 week break). So I'm a little unsure. I'm leaning towards going for it, it will give me good motivation and if I have to walk a little (or a lot) who cares?? At least I had the balls to try.

Today was the first day of summer break. The little guy and I headed to the zoo. It was sprinkling but we still had a blast! We saw tons of exotic creatures including a moose, mountain sheep, mule deer and coyotes bahaha. But Hunter thought it was cool so that's all that matters. We were pretty much the only people there, and we got an awesome view of the grizzly bear taking a nap right in front of the glass score! I got an ass kicking work out. This zoo is seriously ALL (not really but a majority) of it UPHILL. I was huffing and puffing and Braxton hicksing (false contractions) it the whole time!!

We had to bring Pirate Jake along of course

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. The little guy and I headed up to my parents and had a blast. He ate about 13 chocolate ice cream cones and covered every outfit I brought with chocolate, boogers and sun screen grease....

Also, here's a picture of the belly at just under 30 weeks. I'm 30 weeks 2 days now!

Anyway, expect another post on Friday this week (or earlier!) I'm pumped!!

So how was your Memorial Day weekend?

Would you sign up for a half a few months post partum?
