Fa la la la LA

Christmas is definitely coming. Soon. I seriously cannot believe how fast this year has gone by. I know I know everyone says that but I cannot believe I am about to have a two year old! Yep my little man turns two at the end of December which is pretty much the worst time of year for a birthday...poor guy. I don't even know what I am going to do for his party theme yet, and he actually is having two parties this year. Yeah almost like Paris Hilton,(I think she had like 5 parties in one day one time). Woah did I just compare my son to Paris Hilton? Pretty sure I just vomited a little bit. Anyway, he gets two parties this year because one is at my moms house for my side of the family and another will be at our house for the hubby's fam and our friends. It just cuts down on travel time for everyone and my family is big so it saves room at our house.

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving. I pretty much should have worn elastic pants...oh wait I did... jeggings are the best invention ever! I did a little shopping Friday but I didn't get up early. I was great the little guy actually slept in until 7 am normally he wakes up around 6 so I felt great! Friday night we went to our towns Christmas party where Santa comes and they do fire works. It was fun besides it being freezing balls.

Saturday was a VERY productive day. And I don't mean productive like drinking 3 glasses of red wine and getting a kick ass blog post up, but we did get the Christmas Tree and other holiday decor up!! Oh and organized our messy as hell bonus room.

Then we decided to go to the mall  to see Santa Clause.

Hunter was very excited to go see "Seeta Cwaus:"

Well we got there and he was in a great mood. Waited in line...still in a great mood. Walked over to Santa....great mood. Sat on Santa's lap and....
Balling. Classic.

I thought it was really funny though. The camera people were like "okay just give him a minute and we will try again." I didn't want to hold people up and was like nope this is great...we want to have his first emotions to remember forever! Love this little screaming cutie.

Then once he got his candy cane he was fine. Like nothing happened. What a crazy kid.

What about you?
How was your holiday?
Christmas decorations/tree up?
Screaming Santa picture stories?

Easy Pumpkin Rolls!

Oh my goodness...I have always loved these things. I would see people bring them to work for pot lucks and would totally go right to that dish and hoard like 8 slices. Seriously. BUT I was always too intimidated to make them myself. I never understood the rolling part until this past Saturday when I went over to my boss's friends house and she showed me how! So I ended up making 5 rolls, well I guess I made 4 she made the 1st one while I was a weirdo taking pictures of her. I gave some to the neighbors and froze the rest and am bringing them home for Turkey Day.

Here they are all cut up and perty!

Ok so I don't know where my boss got this recipe it was just written down but it is AMAZING.

For the roll part:
Just put all ingredients in a bowl and beat until combined (about 45 seconds or less with an electric mixer.)
-3 eggs
-1 cup sugar
-2/3 cup pumpkin (we put a couple more spoonfulls in)
-1 tsp lemon juice
-3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
-1 tsp baking soda
-a little cinnamon
-1/4 tsp cloves (if you want)

Frosting:
1 package cream cheese (softened)
3 tblsp butter (softened)
1 cup powdered sugar
Put all into a bowl and beat with electric mixer

It will look like this:
Then Spread out in a pan lined with parchment paper and the sides sprayed with cooking spray:
Bake at 375 for 15 minutes

Right after you take it out of the oven carefully turn pan over and "dump" the cake onto a flour sack cloth heavily sprinkled with powdered sugar:
Then carefully peel the parchment paper off the cake. It doesn't have to be perfect the frosting will go over this part, using a knife helps:
Now onto the part I was scared about. Fold the end of the cloth over the end of the cake and carefully begin to roll. Do this while the cake is still warm. You want to get the parchment paper off and do this step right away:
Then put in the fridge while you go mix up another one and put it in the oven or just wait about 30 ish minutes until it is relatively cool and unroll the cake. Then spread your cream cheese frosting:
Right after frosting roll that biotch back up and your done! You can eat immediately, cut it and wait to eat or freeze it. If freezing wrap in plastic wrap then foil and freeze! :) These make great gifts for friends, co workers, neighbors pretty much anyone!!

Now, I wish I could tell you that these are low calorie but obviously they're not...they're damn good!

So go on and try it if worst comes to worst you have pumpkin cake and cream cheese frosting that are to die! :)

A BIGGGG thanks to my friend Ramie for helping me out with this. Now I get to pass on my new found knowledge to my mama.

Happy Turkey Day Eve hookers!

Weigh Day Wednesday

I know I missed last week...but it was Halloween and I stuffed my face with candy the day before so I decided not to post about my 0 pound weight loss last week...BOO (slapping myself in the face)! :( I did have a NSV though...a few weeks ago I bought a pair of jeans a size too small but last week I fit in them!!! I was pumpeddd!

Too cute and true!!

I had a post (here) where I talked about eating clean. Well lets just say it did NOT work out. I think if I would have pushed through it harder I would have been fine. But with all the halloween goodies at work it was hard and I caved. But its okay because I did have a loss this week:

-1.2 pounds. Total loss: 21.2 pounds. Yee haw!

Anyways it's not much but its a loss and ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING so I'm keeping it positive biotches.

I'm feeling pretty awesome about my jogging schedule lately but then yesterday this happened:

I twisted my ankle running yesterday! But I finished my last half mile and broke through a major mental block. I know I should have stopped but no one ALWAYS does the right thing.......right?? I iced it and took advil and it feels good so this morning I went on a SLOW 2 mile jog. My time went up from 11:30 to 12:31 per mile just because I didn't want to push it. It hurt a little bit after the run but I will ice again tonight. I want to do a 4 mile run on Saturday which is a long run for me!

P.S- isn't it cool how my toes match the blueberry bag?

Some other cool shenanigans:

Anyway, I made these HEALTHY quesadillas for dinner the other night:
And yes I pronounce them quesaDILLA not iya because I think it's funny to sound like a red neck sometimes.
Bought this cute scarf at Old Navy this weekend, and please enjoy the awkward creeper smile!

And yep I voted yesterday! Although, last night my news feed on facebook was ridiculous!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week!!

Name Change!

So this crazy mama has gone and done it. I changed my name. Yep...from Crazy/Simple Mama to One Crazy Mama. Because folks I am not simple...seriously...not simple at ALL. Ask my hubs. I spent countless sleepless nights debating whether to do this or not but I did it.

And that's because I'm crazy and proud of it.

So no more of that simple shiz...just keepin it real.

Thanks so much to Holly's hubs Chris for changing my header and button. If you need your blog designed (or re designed) check him out. He deals with us crazy blog mom's alllllll the time. He's pro.

I'm a Lucky Duck, a WINNER announced & a blog hop!

I hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend! I know I did. It was pretty amazing but nothing really spectacular happened.

First things first, last week I found out that I won Melanie's give away! I was so pumped! I NEVER win anything.
I received the package on Friday and it was pretty much awesome.

This nail polish she sent me makes my heart sing. Essie "chinchilly." I just HAD to paint my nails the second that I got it.

I didn't work on Friday because I was TRYING to get my house clean for a party on Saturday. Little man and I had a Mommy/Son "date" at Star Bucks. It was his first hot chocolate ever. So adorbs.

On Saturday I got an "outside run" in, in the morning. I haven't run since the Color Run last weekend but I had my fastest run ever! Woo hoo!  Then I "hosted" my Mom in Laws birthday party at my house. It was tons of fun! So you may think the decorations are a little "little girlish" well it was for a reason. I thought it would be funny because she keeps "bugging" me about wanting me to get preggers and have a little girl (she has two boys). So I decked out the decor in pink and purple, and we had a "princess party."

Sunday was chill. Went for another "outside run," and it was pretty much awesome. Then lounged with my boys. THEN the hubs and I had a date night...we got a baby sitter and enjoyed a nice dinner. Unfortunately I drank wine and had some pasta, but you know what? Even if your dieting you gotta live a little! I Love Sundays because they are usually relaxed despise them a little because the next day is Monday.

Oh wait...you want to know who won the GIVE-AWAY???
